5yo Daughter's Bedroom

Here is my daughter's room...before/during/after.

It is quite embarrassing, and it reminds me of my own childhood. If this inspires just one person out there to buy this book and be inspired to clean up...well, it's worth posting.

This took us a few days to go through...she sorted her clothes, toys, and books.

Sorting through her clothes and keeping the ones that spark joy...yes, she put her little brother in the keep pile!

Had to take apart this beast...with an allen wrench. :/

She now has a makeshift vanity to do her hair.

Ahhh...so much better! The room just feels so welcoming.

This is what I consider my home...99% of the time. I've never been a neat freak; I've always had trouble keeping my room, and later on my home, clean.

Fast forward many, many years and I found a great book that changed my outlook on my home and how to tidy it up.

This book helped me get my dining room from this:

Yes, it may seems simple to some. Again, cleaning up has never been simple for me; it's always been a struggle. When I read this book it changed my outlook on my stuff. I was tidying clutter...things that we didn't need or want! It taught me to keep things that only "sparked joy".
